17th Annual Mosaic for Mental Health opened this past Thursday October 15 in Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing in Dartmouth and will run until November 1 2015. It is beautiful and well organized event where you can view and buy affordable art created by artists of all ages and skills levels. Work of art is created on 6X6 inch tiles and sells for $25 each. It is really amazing to see such a great variety of artwork. All proceeds support programs of Canadian Mental Health Association in Halifax and Dartmouth. This exhibition is really worth visiting and if you are an art lover and art collector this is a great way not only to expand your collection but also support a great cause.
There is also an online silent auction as a part of the Mosaic for Mental Health.
My art students and I create tiles every year as well
I myself started to collect this little paintings last year and this is a new addition to my collection:
Tile on the left is by artist from PEI Sandi Komst and on the right by Roch Bourgue from Moncton.
Here are some photos from the opening night
Hope you will find time to visit the gallery and support the Mosaic!
